Lopez is a 5-8, 176 lb. 2006 second baseman from California with a compact strong frame. Lopez showed some quickness on a slow track with a 7.25 60 yard dash in the workout. Lopez has a thick strong shoulders and a durable body. Lopez showed some arm strength throwing 75 mph across the infield. At the plate, Lopez swings from a wide base with a nice simple approach at the plate. Lopez has a good line drive swing path and showed real good aggressiveness at the plate. The ball comes off Lopez's bat well and he showed some power. With a few mechanical adjustments, Lopez could be a real fine hitter.
