Mark DeAngelis is a 2007 1B/3B with a 6'3'', 210 lb. frame from Eatons Neck NY, who attends Northport HS. He has an athletic body with good overall strength. DeAngelis ran the 60 in 8.13 and threw 68 mph. He showed good footwork on defense at first base, although his arm strength and overall speed limit him to that position. Offensively, DeAngelis hits from a slightly open stance with high hands and a high back elbow in his set up. DeAngelis has an upper body rotational swing and creates some bat speed with his strength. He could improve his bat speed with more involvement from his lower half. DeAngelis showed some bat head skills and made consistent contact. He is a good student.
