2005 Northern CA Top Prospect Showcase
Bryan Martz is a 5'11" 165 pound 2006 infielder from Cottonwood, California who attends Foothill High School. He has an average frame and build with some decent strength and room to fill out. During the workout, he ran an 8.29 60 and threw 73 across the infield Bryan has a decent arm but his best tool in the field is his footwork. He gets in good position to field the ball and uses a short release to get rid of the ball quickly. He shows the ability to get the good hops in the infield and the ability to turn the double play. At the plate, Martz got a few hits the last few days. He has an average base with slightly bent knees and keeps his weight on his backside. He showsed some good bat speed through the hitting zone. Bryan is a decent student with a 3.3 gpa.
