Jon Henry is a 2006 1B from East Laurens High School in East Dublin, Georgia, with a 6'0'', 225 lb. frame. Henry has a strong and stocky body with power in his bat. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a low hand set who takes a short stride. Henry has a line drive swing plane and makes consistent contact. He stays balanced through his swing and gets good leverage at contact which helps generate raw power in his swing, especially to the pull side. Even though he has more power to the pull side, Henry still has the hands to hit the ball the other way effectively. He is a patient hitter who has good knowledge of the strike zone, and should be a solid hitter who will drive in runners. Henry is also an excellent student.
