Brandon May is a 2006 SS/3B/2B from Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia, with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame. May is an athletic player with good present strength. Defensively he has a strong arm across the infield at 84 mph, and is accurate with his throws. He has nice footwork with good hands and should be able to handle any spot on the infield. During a showcase game he showed his instincts and competitiveness when he made a great diving catch down the right field line while he was playing second base. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who can swing the bat with authority. He has a short and compact swing with quick hands. May has a line drive swing plane with strength and raw power. His explosive bat was one of the best at the event and he might have taken the best batting practice of anyone in attendance. May will hit for average and power at the next level. He also toed the rubber and threw 80 mph. He has a great future.

Brandon May is a 2006 infielder from Marietta, GA with a good muscular build at 6-1, 180 lbs. His wide shoulders lead you to believe that he can get even stronger as he matures. May shows very good strength in his swing from a balanced stance. One thing May does better than most young hitters is hit the ball with authority to all fields. He smoked some balls up the middle and to right field that jumped off the bat. May hits through the ball and his balance gives him the ability to show power to all fields. May is also a polished player on defense. He has very quick actions reacting to balls off the bat and a quick transfer and release on this throws. He has plenty of arm strength for the position. May's polished approach to the game and nice balance of tools and skills should lead to immediate success at the next level. He is a very good student who has signed to go to Alabama.
