David Mitchell is a 2017 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 177 lb. frame from Lyndhurst, NJ who attends Lyndhurst High School. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, worked from a high three-quarter arm slot, sound mechanics, gets on top of the ball well and works downhill. Easy arm action, stays composed on the mound. Fastball topped out at 74 mph with nice run to his arm side. Flashed a changeup at 65 mph. Right-handed batter, starts with an upright stance and a low hand set. Upper half swing with line drive swing plane and shows a short path to the ball. Creates contact to all fields, sound approach at the plate, has the tools to improve as he continues to mature. Good student.
