Brenden Heiss is a 2016 RHP/C with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Lake in the Hills, IL who attends Harry D Jacobs HS. Strong well proportioned build. Long and extended arm action, very fast arm coming through, cross fire delivery with good deception, 3/4's arm slot. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 95 mph, good arm side running action, can get the ball to the glove side despite cross body delivery, has good feel for locating his fastball and works down in the zone. Change up is straight but thrown with very good arm speed. Tends to slow arm on his curveball but gets good spin and some 11/5 depth. Power arm with the potential to keep improving his secondary pitches. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
