Alan Fuquay is a 2008 3B/1B/P with a 5'10'', 215 lb. frame from Spanish Fort AL, who attends Spanish Fort. Fuquay has a thick build with present strength. At the plate, Fuquay starts with a wide stance and hits off his front foot. He has a simple swing and is able to generate bat speed through the hitting zone. Fuquay has some raw strength on contact and has some power potential. Defensively, Fuquay throws with a long slinging arm action and makes consistent accurate throws. He has a nice set up to ball and has decent hands. Fuquay pitches L 3/4 slot with a long loose arm action. He throws a 10/4 changeup for strikes and gets armside run on his fastball. Fuquay can move his ceiling higher if he really gets serious about his conditioning and get himself in better baseball shape.
