Alec Seipenko is a 2016 LHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Northville, MI who attends Detroit Catholic Central HS. Lean athletic build, broad shoulders, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Slow paced delivery, medium length arm action, extended high 3/4's arm slot, works downhill well, bit cross body on release, loose arm out front. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, best velocity from the stretch, gets good cutting action at times. Tends to shorten arm arch on curveball, big curveball depth with 1/7 shape, depth is problem in commanding curveball. Has the arm slot for a slider/cutter in the future should he want it. Rare change up with slower arm, still developing. Like his chances to keep improving, has the pitches and the projectable body. Good student.
