Anthony Vinci is a 2008 MIF with a 5'7'', 160 lb. frame from Trumbull CT, who attends St Joseph. Vinci has a compact body with a thick build. Defensively, Vinci has good footwork to the ball and has clean defensive actions. He has quick actions and sets up to the ball well on ground balls. He has soft hands and has a quick and short release. He profiles best at 2nd base and can play it well with a high energy level. At the plate, Vinci starts with an even stance and uses a big foot lift to start his swing. He is aggressive in the strike zone and swings with a slight uppercut. Vinci maintains good balance through his swing and has leverage at contact. He makes consistent middle of the field contact and generates bat speed through his swing. Vinci has present line drive pop and should hit for a high average at the high school level. Vinci is a good student.
