Hartsock is a 6-2, 185 lb right handed hitting first baseman from Florida with a slender and projectable body. He ran the 60 in 7.54 and showed very good arm strength for a first baseman at 81 mph. Hartsock also had very smooth defensive actions at first base and there looks like there is no reason athletically that he shouldn't be able to play third base well, too. Offensively, Hartsock hits from an open to closed approach at the plate. More flexability and better extension will help his production at the plate. Hartsock is a good student.
