Tristan Alkis is a 2016 C/IF with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Austin HS. Strong build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, nice short path to the ball, has some lift and uppercut in his swing, aggressive hitter who generates some bat speed and tries to drive the ball, will overswing and pull off at times, has hitting tools to continue to develop. Not a prototypical second base build but has good actions, stays balanced and can make plays on the run, 7.40 in the sixty, full arm action with accurate throws. Young catching actions but showed arm strength and was an enthusiastic blocker, 2.07 best pop time. Very good student.
