Brandon Bravata is a 2006 outfielder from Baton Rouge, LA, with a stocky build that shows good lower body strength at 5-7 170 lbs. Defensively, he has quick, active feet that allowed him to get in good position to throw from the outfield. He has a short quick arm stroke with decent strength at 78 mph. He has good range in the outfield showing good athletic actions. He ran a 7.06 sec in the 60. He hits from an open stance with high hands. He starts his swing with no load and uses a short stride as a trigger. He has a short, quick, compact stroke with decent bat speed and gap level power. His swing is well suited for a wood bat and he was fairly successful against live pitching. He is a nice player with good present skills and he will be a high level prospect for 2006. Brandon is a good student.
