Nickolas Oar is a 2015 OF/1B with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Pleasant Hill, CA who attends College Park HS. Big strong athletic build. 7.35 runner, versatile defensive player, left field tools in the outfield, moves to the ball well with good footwork on throws and some arm strength. Showed the ability to play both third and first base in the infield, footwork and soft hands stood out at first base especially, also has some catching and pitching in his background. Right handed hitter, busy load with a hand hitch start, spread bent knee stance, swings hard, long and strong swing, big power when he squares it up, can simplify his approach for more consistent results, has the strength to continue to develop as a hitter. Very good student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
