2005 So Cal Underclass Showcase
Kevin Park is a 5'10" 185 pound 2007 catcher, third baseman, and right handed pitcher form Los Angeles, California who attends Pendleton High School. He has an average frame with a compact durable catchers build. He has broad shoulders and room for added muscle. Kevin sets up well behind the plate and gives pitchers a real good target to throw to. He is quiet and agile behind the plate with a very good pop time of 2.00. His top velocity was 70 mph which were very accurate throws coming from a short release. He looks like he would be able to play third base very well with his soft hands. At the plate, Park hits with a narrow base with good strength and bat speed through the hitting zone. He has a small stride and uses a simple swing with not very many wasted actions. He is a tough out for his opponent because he tends to put the ball in play quite often.
