Brant McNease is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-2 265 lb. frame from Lake Charles, LA who attends St Louis Catholic HS. Large build, thick lower half. High 3/4's to over the top arm slot, stays tall and balanced during his delivery, loose arm coming through, low effort release, short stride out front. Consistent mid 70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph. Good curveball spin with 12/6 downer depth, has nice run and sink on change up with good arm speed. Works quickly and throws strikes with all three pitches and has an idea how to mix. Right handed hitter, simple rotational swing mechanics, has strength and some bat speed, ball comes off the barrel well, line drive contact, has the potential to develop pull power. Good student.
