Austen Russell is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends East Coweta HS. Smaller young build, beginnings of some present strength. 7.15 runner, quick to the ball in the outfield with athletic actions, sound fundamental footwork, accurate throws, developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, quick aggressive swing, good short path to the ball, swings hard and looks to drive the ball, nice and loose out front, has a nice approach that is just waiting for more strength and physical maturity to kick in. Good overall athlete.
