Colby Day is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs HS. Strong well proportioned build. Simple turn and throw delivery, full arm circle, tight 3/4's release, tends to drop elbow on release, can improve velocity with better extension coming through. Fastball topped at 78 mph, gets sink as well as cutting action at times. Slider an effective pitch, 10/4 sweeping shape with some bite to it. Threw strikes with both pitches and made hitters swing early in the count. Good student.
