Michael Emodi is a 2014 C/1B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Creighton Prep. Extra strong and physical build, close to outgrowing catcher's position. Low set behind the plate, has lower half flexibility, tends to stand up to throw, compact arm action, accurate on line throws, 2.08 best pop time. Right handed hitter, high hand start, long rotational swing with some bat speed and strength at contact, pull/power approach, can drive mistakes over the plate but will have to shorten up against better pitching. 7.24 runner, moves well for his size. Excellent student.
