John Lluvera Jr is a 2016 OF/ with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Astoria, NY who attends Monsignor McClancy Memorial. Lean, athletic frame who projects with some added strength. Good runner, ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows a long arm action on throws. Developing arm strength and will see an increase with incorporation of lower half into throws, accurate with throws to intended base. Switch hitter, starts upright from the right side with a high hand set. Short path to the ball, easy stroke with good hands and shows a nice feel for the barrel and a contact approach. Similar set up from the left side, showed some strength to his pull side from a simple approach and created contact to all fields. Gets the bat through the zone quickly, showed a patient approach in game action. Good student.
