Norton is a 5-8, 135 lb junior middle infielder from Texas. He's a very nice defensive middle infielder who enjoys that part of the game and plays hard. Norton has good overall quickness, especially in his hands. He has a quick, clean release and good carry on his throws. He graded out as one of the better defensive middle infielders at the showcase. Norton also has some bat quickness for his size, although he's probably better suited for metal at this point in his development. He's a little late in his load but uses his hand quickness to get the bat moving well and does a good job staying short and inside the ball. He's probably a dependable line drive hitter at the high school level who will improve with more strength. Norton is a 7.60 runner with some first step quickness.
