Michael Vascura is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 239 lb. frame from Danville, IL who attends Danville HS. Large young slope shouldered build. Standard leg raise delivery, lands closed out front, compact arm action, high 3/4's slot, gets downhill with a low effort release, repeats mechanics well. Steady low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight, spots fastball well. Curveball a quality second pitch, gets good spin and depth and throws for strikes, could throw curveball more. Change up too firm at present. Works quickly and throws strikes and has some pitchability.
