Jose Raul Rodriguez Ortiz is a 2011 LHP with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Guanica, PR. Long and lanky build. Long and loose arm action, low 3/4's release point, low effort release and delivery. Steady mid-80's fastball, heavy ball with lots of sink and arm side running action, tends to pitch to his arm side and work outside corner to right handed hitters. Big sweeping curveball with soft spin, developing change up, tends to slow arm on change. Primary fastball pitcher. 19 year old who has graduated high school but is still physically projectable, must improve off speed pitches.
