Nick Gavin is a 2015 C with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Lee's Summit, MO who attends Lee's Summit North HS. Medium, thicker frame with some present athleticism. Shows some arm strength from behind the plate, smooth and quick transfers, arm action is a little long. Shifts and blocks pitches very well. Right-handed batter, uses a high leg kick, stays very well balanced. Shows good bat speed, sprays line drives to all parts of the field, gets caught on his front foot at times, needs better extension. Handles the fastball well. Excellent student.
