Grant Wilhelm is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Laguna Beach, CA who attends Laguna Beach. Long frame, broad shoulders. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot, pitches from the 3B side of the rubber creating a sharp angle coming from behind RHH. Rotational delivery, gets some downhill leverage out of his high arm slot. Good slider with good depth to diagonal break up to 78 mph. Also has slower breaking ball with 11-5 shape to mix with slider, flashed mid 70s changeup. Good energy in the outfiled, attacks the baseball, good carry on throws, accurate throws with good release time. Showed good raw power at the plate, homered in BP, good leverage to swing, long power oriented swing. Good student.
