Johnathon Smith is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Lumberton, TX who attends Lumberton HS. Big sturdy build, very tood present strength. Short compact arm action, tight 3/4's release, catcher's arm action, standard delivery. Low 80's fastball, topped at 83 mph, gets some sink down in the strike zone along with arm side running action. Slurve type breaking ball, flashes slider bite with sweeping shape. Throws strikes and is around the plate. Showed his raw arm strength from the outfield. Right handed hitter, rotational swing, tends to pull off before contact and hit out front, ball comes off well when squared due to strength.
