Brian Canyon is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-5 172 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Mt. Carmel. Tall lanky build, room to fill. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot, long arm action, online delivery. Deliberate motion, keeps ball down in the zone, good tailing action on fastball, threw a lot of strikes, 11-5 shape to curveball. Still growing into body, shows some athleticism for such a tall pitcher at his age but coordination is still developing, the fact that he threw as many quality strikes as he did at this stage is an encouraging sign. Very good student.
