Richard Boe is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from San Carlos, CA who attends St Francis HS. Extra large physical build, strong and fairly mature physically. Low effort delivery, 3/4's arm slot, not consistent with mechanics but best when finishing loose and directional out front, tends to drift out front and cut off pitches. Easy fastball velocity when mechanics come together, touches 90 but low/mid 80's at times as well, mostly straight with occasional run and tail. Change up best off speed pitch, maintains arm speed well and has some feel, tips curveball with longer arm action, soft spin with occasional downer depth. Showed big arm strength from the outfield not surprisingly. Right handed hitter with some bat speed and power potential, dominates the upper 70's pitchers, can get long but ball jumps off the bat. Good overall athlete. Mound future will depend on developing consistency and feel, has the tools.
