Austin Clifton is a 2015 SS/2B with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Heritage HS. Smaller build, has some compact strength. 7.58 runner but has quick game actions, good range defensively, stays balanced, second base actions and tools, quick release on throws. Showed very sound outfield actions as well, good through the ball, arm worked well, throws had good carry and accuracy. Switch hitter, short fundamentally sound swing left handed, quick to the ball, line drive contact when he stays short, hits to all fields, tends to get a bit rotational right handed and hit around the ball, aggressive hitting approach with the tools to improve. High energy player with an idea how to play.

Austin Clifton is a 2015 MIF/ with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Menifee, CA who attends Heritage. Clifton has a smaller frame with a thin athletic build. He has a short arm action on the infield with developing arm strength. Clifton has quick transfers and moves to the ball well on the infield. He has solid defensive actions with soft hands. Clifton is a switch hitter with a similar approach from both sides of the plate. He starts with a square stance and uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing. He swings on a line drive plane and stays behind the ball well. He makes consistent solid contact and and has some bat speed. Solid swing from both sides of the plate. Excellent student.
