James Dawson Terrell III is a 2015 OF/SS with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Fairfield, CA who attends St Patrick-St Vincent. Lean athletic build, projectable young athlete. Long swing generates bat whip and good bat speed. Swing mechanics are a bit raw and as a result his contact rate isn't as consistent as you might expect from a player with his physical tools and athleticism, but as he refines his swing that is likely to change. Line drive plane, aggressive approach, power potential. Runs well and covers good ground in the OF, showed good routes and reads in game action. Solid arm speed but lack of lower half use doesn't allow him to get as much on his throws as his arm strength suggests he could. Raw young player with some upside, interesting follow. Good student.
