Zackary Perugi is a 2013 C/RHP/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Tracy, CA who attends John C. Kimball HS. Medium frame, athletic build, high waist. Solid two-way player. Primary catcher whose arm plays well behind the plate, but also showed well on the other end of the battery. Clean transfer on throwdowns to 2B, accurate throws, could improve with more use of lower half and more efficient footwork. Fastball up to 82, pitches from a three quarter arm slot, good shape and depth on slider with good potential. Throws strikes to both sides of the plate with a low effort delivery. Showed some pop in his bat, quick hands, good leverage, short to the ball, good extension through the baseball, aggressive hitting approach. Very good student.
