Jake Sickels is a 2014 SS/RHP, with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Indianola, IA who attends Indianola HS. Medium build, room to get stronger. Good footwork defensively, hands work, has some arm strength with on line throws, tools and actions best profile to third base, 7.78 runner. Right handed hitter, hand drop load, leans and lifts, tends to pull head off the ball during swing, will flash bat speed at times and get the ball to the gaps. Also pitched, compact arm circle and delivery, tends to fall off to the first base side on release. Steady upper 70's fastball, mostly straight, soft curveball with some downer shape, developing change up, some potential to develop as a pitcher with delivery adjustments. Good student.
