Matt Flummerfelt is a 2015 IF/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Ames, IA who attends Ames HS. Lean athletic frame with room to fill. Defensively he has solid actions, good footwork, soft hands, works through the ball, short arm action, low release and throws from all angles. At the plate he showed ability to stay inside the ball with good opposite field contact, shows bat speed and extension with a gap to gap approach. On the mound he has a back turn delivery, tight ¾ slot, stays online. FB touched 80 with some fade, lower release on curve ball that topped out at 68 mph. Will certainly benefit from added strength as he matures.
