Hunter Sykes is a 2015 MIF/OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Columbus, MS who attends Heritage Academy. Smaller build, very young look, minimal present strength. Open stance, good overall hitting mechanics, short to the ball and gets the barrel out, good timing, good swing plane with occasional back side collapse, all the ingredients to keep improving with additional strength. 7.22 runner, good fundamentals on defense as well, balanced footwork, soft hands, moves well to the ball, accurate throws with a clean release, arm strength still developing. Good player, just waiting for the strength/growth spurt to kick in. Good student.
