Mathew Munden is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Coronado HS. Slender young build. Quick paced leg lift delivery, quick high arm circle, tight high 3/4's release, arm works well coming through, some effort on release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with some running action, throws fastball to both sides of the plate. Soft curveball with big deep 11/5 shape, throws curveballs for strikes to work ahead, developing change up. Works quickly and has some pitchability at a young age. 7.43 runner, shows good athletic actions in the outfield with good arm strength and fundamentals. Right handed hitter, bend knee stance, short line drive swing, needs to be more aggressive getting the barrel out. Good student.
