Carlos Garcia Rivera is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Manati, PR who attends Petra Corretjer de Oneill HS. Long legged, slender high waisted build, minimal present strength. Big leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, arm works smoothly, inconsistent mechanics out front and will occasionally drift and fall off. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, works downhill, fastball mostly straight. Good curveball release point, gets out front and over it, 12/6 shape with good spin and occasional bite. Projects to continue to improve with additional strength. 7.03 runner, right handed hitter, long swing but flashes some gap power. Good student.
