Evan Steele is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta HS. Long and lean projectable build, looks the prospect part physically. Compact arm action with some stab in back, 3/4's arm slot, tends to fall off on release but repeats delivery and release well. Fastball to 81 mph, has some arm side running action, comes inside consistently with fastball. Curveball shows good spin and bite with 2-plane shape, nice feel for change up with good sink and run. Mixes pitches well, throws strikes, pitches to contact and fields his position well. Lots of things to like, strong chance to keep improving. Follow closely. Good student.
