Robert Salazar is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from North Richland Hills, TX who attends Birdville. Salazar has an athletic build with room to add strength. Hits from an upright square stance. Line drive swing plane with quick hands. Aggressive approach with good pull pop. Has good extension and lift in swing. Defensively, smooth fielding actions at shortstop with good hands and feet. Has quick transfer and release. Solid lateral movement. Also pitches. 3/4 arm slot, short arm action in back, throws strikes. Good 11/5 curveball and mixed in a developing change up. Named to top Prospect list and team. Outstanding student.
