Nathaniel Alam is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Placentia, CA who attends El Dorado. Alam has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. Alam has very good arm strength at 89 MPH from the outfield with carry and accurate throws. Defensively, he takes good routes to the ball and covers ground. He has good outfield actions as well. Alam is a switch hitter at the plate, from the right side he uses a slightly open stance with an aggressive approach with good bat speed. The ball jumps off his bat when he squares it up. From the left side he uses a similar approach with more of a hitchy load. He swung the bat well from both sides of the plate and made good game contact. Alam also was up to 84 MPH on the mound with an online balanced delivery. He's a strike thrower on the mound who attacks hitters. Solid young player.
