Bernard Gilot is a 2016 3B/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Montverde Academy. Medium frame with a strong build. Starts out with a closed stance at the plate, good aggressive approach at the plate, is short to the ball, good easy swing, good mechanics, good bat path, good balance. Good bat speed, makes solid contact at the plate, pop in his bat, gap to gap hitter. In the infield he stays down on ground balls, gets his feet in front of the ball, throws are accurate, will gain velocity as he gets on top of the ball. Is an intriguing prospect to follow through the years.
