2005 Unsigned Seniors Showcase
Perkins is a 6-4, 195 lb right handed pitcher from Georgia with a good pitcher’s body that has some excellent projection. It looks like he’s received good coaching instruction and he throws with solid pitching mechanics and a long and loose arm stroke. Perkins fastball topped out at 82 mph with good command. His 66-68 mph curveball had consistent spin and a short 11/5 break in the strike zone. Perkins also threw a couple of 73 mph change ups. Perkins does a number of things well now and his best years are yet to come. Good student who could contribute in a big way at the right program.
