Drew Johnson is a 2014 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Wichita, KS who attends Maize. Johnson has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a short arm circle in back. He has some arm speed and hides the ball well. Johnson gets closed at balance point and lands across his body. He works quick on the mound and has a compact delivery. Johnson attacks hitters and throws his off speed for strikes. Defensively, he has nice hands and developing actions. At the plate, he uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing and stays inside the ball well. Johnson swings on a line drive plane and has some power potential. Excellent student.
