Locke is a big strong sophomore catcher who projects well at his position. He is already 6 foot 1 and 197 pounds and showed that he can play with top High School competition. His catch and throw mechanics were his best devensive asset. He showed good footwork and transfers with a compact throwing motion. He registered 70 mph on the throw and his best pop time was 2.10 on the bag. In time as his arm gets stronger we expect he will be under 2.0 with his good mechanics. His bat had some pop in it with a few line drives with a good swing at his age. He showed some patience at the plate but was not afraid to pull the trigger on the first strike that he saw. He is a sophomore that is ahead of many players his age and looks like he will end up with a good future in baseball.
