Bryan Byrd is a 2013 3B/SS/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Needville, TX who attends Needville HS. Small to medium frame, some present strength. Left handed hitter, good overall swing mechanics, uses hands well to drive barrel, aggressive swing, has bat speed, compact line drive swing, not much lift but solid contact, gets out of the box very quickly. Second base actions defensively, light on feet with some lateral range, stays low through ball, good exchange, enough arm strength for that position at the next level. Also pitched, upper 70's fastball from 3/4's arm slot, good balanced delivery, throws strikes, soft curveball. Good student.
