Bobby Greene is a 2006 catcher/first baseman from Cape Coral, Florida, with a 6'2", 190 lb. frame. Greene has very good arm strength and good accuracy from behind the plate. His feet work well and he can block balls in the dirt. His footwork also helps on his pop times that were consistently around 2.00. Greene is a right handed hitter with a balanced swing and good bat speed. He hits the ball well to all fields with present college level power. He can swing wood well, and will turn on the inside pitch. Greene gets leverage in his swing and hits the ball hard. He is an aggressive hitter and sometimes opens his front side a little too early, but he can hit. He has a strong looking body with thick legs and a big frame that should be durable behind the plate. Greene has the potential to be a power hitter with a power arm at the next level. He is a very good student, and is a must follow.

Bobby Greene -- Greene is a sophomore catcher from Florida with good strength in his hands and upper body. He’s a good defensive player who receives the ball well and has good arm strength. Greene had in the game pop times around 2.2, which is very good for a young catcher. Greene hits out of a narrow stance at the plate with little stride and gets out on his front foot early. Because of his hand strength, this works for him and he has good bat speed and power to the middle of the field. Watch this "06" catcher, he could end up being very good. Bobby is a good student.

Bobby is a young 06 catcher who is quick behind the plate. He get rids of the ball quick and popped just over 2 in the workout with good accuracy down to 2B. He still looks very young and its easy to see him getting better with the wood as he gets stronger. He showed some occasional power at the plate and should be a real interesting follow for 2006. He loves to play and has a baseball body!
