Antonio Rivera Pineiro is a 2014 C/1B with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Caguas Military Academy. Medium build with good lower half strength. 7.35 runner, shows good receiving and blocking skills behind the plate, has lateral agility, arm strength still developing, could improve immediately with better mechanics, has the tools to keep improving. Right handed hitter, spread no stride approach, limited shift into contact, long wrapped swing, swings hard, mostly opposite field contact, will need to shorten up as pitching improves. Very good student.
