Nate Alam is a 2014 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Placentia, CA who attends El Dorado HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Switch-hitter, better swing and bat speed left handed, simple calm hitting mechanics, loose quick swing, has bat speed. More shift right handed, dives in, hands tend to be late, spray line drive contact. Athletic defensive actions, gets good jumps in the outfield, very good arm with on line accurate throws. Also pitched, simple turn and throw delivery, stays on line well, arm works, fastball to 85 mph, gets some spin on a low 70's curveball, repeated delivery and threw strikes. Nice all around tools to develop.
