Matt Roll is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Meridian, ID who attends Rocky Mountain HS. Lean athletic build, good present strength. Compact on line delivery, high leg tuck start, compact arm action, high 3/4's slot, repeats mechanics well for age. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, good late sinking life at times. 12/6 downer curveball, good spin and depth when on top of it, will hang occasionally. Projects to gain velocity, shows good instincts on the mound. 7.31 runner, good outfield throwing mechanics and athleticism. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, long swing from a wide base, creates some late bat speed, had some good game swings. Tools and athleticism to keep improving. Good student.

Matt Roll is a 2015 RHP/OF, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Meridian, ID who attends Rocky Mountain. Roll has a medium sized frame with a solid projectable body. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. His arm works well with some arm speed. Roll has a balanced delivery and uses tall and fall mechanics. His velocity projects, and there is more velocity in there with more lower half in delivery. Roll throws an 11/5 curveball with nice shape. He has developing outfield actions with solid footwork. At the plate, Roll has some bat speed with some extension in his swing. He swings on a line drive path and makes solid contact. Interesting young player, very good student.
