Jeff Houghtby is a 2015 MIF/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends Valhalla. Houghtby has a medium sized frame with a projectable lean body. He has good defensive actions with good footwork to the baseball. Houghtby has good hands and developing arm strength. At the plate, Houghtby starts with a square stance and has a rotational swing. He maintains good balance through his swing and gets some extension. Houghtby has some bat speed and makes consistent contact. He has developing hitting tools with line drive pop. Excellent student.
