Zach Larison is a 2008 IF/P/OF with a 6'0'', 165 lb. frame from Robins, IA who attends Linn Mar HS. Larison has a lean athletic look. His body has good life. Defensively he has quick actions, and usable speed that gives him good range at second base. He has a short arm stroke, and good body control. He has a simple no stide hitting approach, and creates solid line drive contact. He oocasionally leaks out on front side early, but he keeps swing short. On the mound he has a cross body delivery, with a FB up to 76. Larison is also a good student.

Zachary Larison is a 2008 outfielder/right handed pitcher from Robins, Iowa, with a 5'11", 150 lb. frame. He showed solid arm speed with some slinging action. Larison's throws from the outfield were accurate and on line. He hits from a crouched stance with a high hand set. Larison gets his weight on the front side a little to early, but stayed balanced in his swing. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good arm action and nice mechanics. His fastball topped out at 76 mph, and he threw his curveball at 63 mph. His curveball had an 11 to 5 break with tight spin. He started to open his front side early, and could add velocity by finishing his pitches stronger. Larison has projectable velocity. He has the tools to be a solid two way prospect.
